The aligner trays are made of virtually invisible plastic that are smooth and comfortable. You wear them over your teeth in much the same way as a mouthguard or a nightguard.

The aligners are designed to gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements Dr. Carreira plans for you. With Invisalign® there are no metal brackets to attach to your teeth and no wires to adjust or tighten. About every two weeks, you advance to a new aligner tray and continue to progress from tray to tray until your treatment is complete. Over time you will have a great smile with minimal intrusion on your daily life. The best part about the Invisalign® tooth straightening process is that most people won't even know you're doing it.
